ReMind (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile application that allows users to save personal entries and receive reminder text messages that they schedule for themselves. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the app and related services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate the Service:
- Phone Number: Collected for account creation, authentication, and delivery of SMS reminders.
- User Content: Entries you save in the app. These are stored securely in Firebase and are only used to deliver reminders back to you.
- Community Posts: If you choose to post content publicly in the Community section, that content becomes visible to other users.
- Technical Data: Basic device/app information required for functionality (e.g., device type, app version, error logs). We do not collect analytics, tracking information, location data, advertising identifiers, or IP-based profiling.
- Subscription Data: RevenueCat and the Apple App Store process subscription status. We do not store your payment information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to operate and improve the Service:
- To authenticate your account
- To store and deliver your scheduled reminder messages
- To provide customer support
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations
- To operate optional features such as Community Posting
3. SMS Messaging
By consenting in the app, you agree to receive SMS messages from ReMind for reminders you schedule. Message frequency varies based on your usage. Message & data rates may apply.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance.
We do not store SMS delivery logs or message reply logs.
4. Community Posting
If you submit a post to the public Community section, the content may be viewable by other users. You may delete your posts at any time from within the app.
When your account is deleted, all your posts are also permanently removed.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is necessary to operate the Service, and only with trusted service providers:
- Firebase (Google): Account authentication, Firestore database, secure content storage, and serverless processing.
- Twilio: Delivery of SMS reminders.
- RevenueCat: Subscription status and entitlement management.
- Apple App Store: Billing and in-app purchase processing.
These providers process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality and security standards.
6. Data Security
Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit through Firebase’s industry-standard security practices. Access to your content is restricted and never viewed by us except as required for trust, safety, or legal compliance.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
When you delete your account, all of the following are permanently removed:
- Your phone number and authentication record
- Your entries and reminders
- Your Community posts
- Your subscription association (handled automatically by RevenueCat/App Store)
Your phone number is also unsubscribed from SMS delivery.
8. Your Rights & Choices
- Reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS
- Request account deletion or data access by emailing remindapphelp@gmail.com
- Manage or cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for individuals aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
